In-Dash Record Player

Chrysler Corporation was the first automotive manufacturer to offer an in-dash record player. In 1956, Chrysler introduced the Highway Fidelity (Hi-Fi), a factory-installed record player mounted under he car's dashboard. 

In-Dash 8-Track Player

Ford Motor Company was the first automotive manufacturer to offer an in-dash 8-Track player. In 1966, the Ford Mustang included an 8-Track player. 

In-Dash Compact Disc & Cassette Player

When the Cadillac Allante' was introduced in 1987, I remember reading an article stating that it was the first vehicle to have a both a factory-installed compact disc and cassette player. Most vehicles still offered cassette players only or optional compact disc players.
